Jon,
many thanks, very helpful
Lloyd
the only one I have seen in a ‘C’ i hthnk is Princess Dianna’s cabriolet which I is held in the museum at Gaydon,
it’s a sort of tweed,
I have seen a number of hard tops with it, very different material form the picture.

Alan,
reget i can’t answer your enquiry, but I was disapppointed after fitting the hard top,
it looks great.. but
an update on fitting my hard top.
It booms inside with the targa panels removed, and its not so quiet, I’m aware of it being there without the ‘boom’. The booms comes in at about 60mph.
It’s relieved when the windows are fully open.
Pity, as it looks good. But in reality, I preferred it before, the problem was the pram hood was looking scruffy and I didn’t want to drop cash on it.

12th January 2018 at 16:26 in reply to: JLR Classic Works – XJ-SC Cabriolet and Convertible visit and display #11125I have visited the facility, it is a great venue and very interesting.
There is also quite a collection of cars stored there, so lots to see. Subject to date etc, I ‘d like to join you all,
Lloyd
hi all,
I hope you all had a great Christmas, and thanks for your comments.
also, thanks for perseverence to post a photo.
I am having the targa panels recovered, so all should be well, I think I may go for the change!
Happy New Year,
Lloyd
Charles,
I look forward to that,
I’m driving up on 16 April, and back down again Thursday 19th.
I see Eugene is only an hour or so from Woodburn, so anytime that week might also be possible if you are free.Lloyd
Charles @bazooker ,
Welcome to this interesting group,
as it happens in late April I will be in Oregon driving from San Francisco to Woodburn, regrettably not in my cabriolet,
perhaps we can organise a coffee stop?Lloyd
Silverstone was a great event, the numbers of JEC members who turned up was impressive, – at least on the Friday when I was there.
There were a couple of soft tops and one other Cab, I have to say my attention was wholly focussed on the racing – as indeed were most others with only a quick lap of the other clubs.
I’m afraid I don’t have photos to share either, but it is a good event with loads of action and a fantastic range of cars – it is incredible to see the level of enthusiam for older cars… will anyone ever love the XJS as well all do?
echoing Bob,
thanks Laurence, very grateful to you and the guys who established the register to create and promote interest in these cars
