Club Events Guide
What is a Club Event?
The Club Events Calendar is where members share information about upcoming shows, exhibitions, social gatherings, drives and other events that may be of interest to fellow enthusiasts.
Some Events are major national classic car shows, while others are simply informal meet-ups between a handful of owners.
The purpose of the Events Calendar is simple — helping members discover opportunities to get out, enjoy their cars and meet fellow enthusiasts.
The Types of Events We Enjoy
XJS Soft Tops Club members attend a surprisingly wide variety of events throughout the year.
These include:
- Classic car shows
- Jaguar club gatherings
- Motor exhibitions
- Local car meets
- Social lunches and dinners
- Country drives
- Weekend tours
- Museum visits
- Charity events
- Informal coffee meet-ups
Not every Event needs to be large or formally organised. Sometimes the most enjoyable days begin with a message saying, “I’m going here on Sunday if anyone would like to join me.”
Events and Activity Reports
Events and Activity Reports work together.
An Event tells members about something that is planned and still to happen.
An Activity Report records what actually happened afterwards.
For example, a member may create an Event for a local Jaguar show. After attending, they can then create an Activity Report containing photographs and a write-up describing the day.
This helps create a complete record of both upcoming opportunities and past adventures.
Join the Club and Get Involved
Membership of the XJS Soft Tops Club is completely free.
Members can create Events, contribute Activity Reports, share Gallery Photos, build Car Albums and take part in the Discussion Forums.
Joining also makes it easier to connect with fellow enthusiasts who may be attending events near you.
