Introducing Member Car Albums

A place to tell the story of your XJS

Every Jaguar XJS has a story.

Some are tales of careful preservation. Others are journeys of restoration, modification, travel, or long-term ownership.
Many are a mixture of all three.

The new Member Car Albums section of the XJS Soft Tops Club website has been created to give those stories a proper home — beautifully presented, easy to explore, and built specifically around the way XJS Cabriolets and Convertibles are enjoyed and cared for.

This is not just a photo gallery – there is a Photo Gallery though for those special photos
It’s a living archive of the cars, the work, and the people behind them.

What is a Car Album?

A Car Album is a dedicated space for one car, owned by one member, told in their own words.

Each album starts with a clear overview:

• A hero photograph of the car
• Key details such as year, model, engine and transmission
• A short introduction to the car and its history

From there, the album unfolds into individual story sections — allowing you to document your car over time,
rather than trying to squeeze everything into a single post.

Tell the Story, One Chapter at a Time

Car Albums have different Story Sections that you can pick and choose from, and are structured around story cards, so you can add content gradually, whenever it suits you. You can have as many story cars as you want within a section, or none at all, so if you have not undertaken any restoration work then simply don’t have the Restoration section

Examples include these Sections:

• About the Car – how it came into your life
• Work in Progress / Maintenance – servicing, repairs, upgrades
• Restoration – from small jobs to major rebuilds
• Trips & Adventures – shows, tours, holidays, memorable drives
• Awards & Achievements – concours, club events, personal milestones
• Future Plans – what’s next for the car

Each story card supports text and photos, presented cleanly and consistently, so the focus stays on the car — not the interface. Photo management is easy, you simply click on the “add image”, upload it from your phone or computer and that’s it.

You don’t need to finish everything at once.
An album can grow over months or years, just like the car itself.

Designed to Be Easy (and Enjoyable)

Creating and editing a Car Album has been designed to feel calm and intuitive — even if you’re not particularly technical. It is split into straight forward sections that can be completed as and when you have time – perfect for adding another chapter on your restoration project or telling everyone about a recent weekend away.

• Add photos with simple upload controls
• Edit stories at any time
• Reorder content as the album evolves
• Save and return whenever you like

There’s no pressure to “get it perfect”, and you are free to revisit your album as many times as you like to amend it and add more.
The emphasis is on sharing, not publishing polish.

Many of our XJS soft tops cars are becoming rare, long-term cars and doocumenting them matters — not just for today, but for the next generation of owners.

Your car doesn’t have to be dramatic or restored to concours-level, the albums are suitable for “barn finds’ to “better than showroom condition”, and absolutely every car in between.
Every well-loved XJS Soft Top car has something worth sharing.

For non-members, the Car Albums offer a glimpse into what the Club is really about:

• Real cars, owned and driven
• Real stories, written by owners
• A friendly, knowledgeable community

Browsing the albums is a great way to see the variety of XJS Cabriolets and Convertibles still on the road —
and the passion that keeps them there.
