Question about pre-facelift front Indicators

I am also looking at the possible options to change the front indicators to see if I can find a unit that might fit that has both a side light and indicator so I would then use that unit as a day light running light – do you know if anyone has done this before ? Or as an alternative approach changing the amber lens to white so I can use a twin colour filament bulb as I’ve done on another car – does anyone know of a suitable unit where I can get a pair of white/clear lenses ?

Hi John,
I found this on the web, which might give you some ideas of what is out there.
Possibly a trailer light, which has the reversing light (white) and the indicator combined – you could likely vary the white light bulbs to give you the brightness you are seeking for a running light.
