        Hi Alan,

I keep a 300 ml can of Wynns Tyre Fix in the boot insted of the spare tyre. I have had a puncture only once in the last 20 years and the can enabled me to drive safely to a tyre stockist. The tyre had to be replaced of course but I could live with that for the convenience.

        Cheers

          Hi Laurence,

I will put some details up on the General discussion site.

The article is a word document. How best to get it to you?

          Cheers

            Hi Laurence,

            Many thanks for the welcome.

I found the club through the XJS Club and Facebook.

I bought my 5.3 V12 XJ-SC only a few months ago any it was in generally pretty good order but I have since restored the rather orange lacquered veneer and had some work done on restitching the seats.

The old R12 Air Con was inoperative so I have had it converted to R143 and it now keeps me cool as I am sure you know how much heat the 5.3 engine throws out.

The biggest change to date is the conversion to LPG. I took it to Neal Muggleston in Lincolnshire who specialises in Jaguar conversions. I am very happy with the result and the savings in fuel costs.

I still have a few items on my “to do” list which includes new leads and belts, re-connection of the cigar lighter for mt sat nav, repair of the electric mirrors and re connection of the rear speakers in the car.

I will pop a couple of pictures on the web site and I can send you an article on restoring woodwork on the XJ-SC if you are interested?

            Cheers

            Roger
