      Hi All,

      I’m a newbie to the XJS world. I saw my car (1985 Red Cabriolet) and fell in love with it at first sight!

      The car arrived last week, and prior and since, I’ve done lot’s of searching to find out more about the history of the XJS and of course my car. This searching led me to this excellent site.

      No doubt as a novice I’ll be asking a few questions in the near future so thanks in advance !

      HI Mike
      The VIN you have supplied is not a Jaguar built Cabriolet’s VIN, which might mean it is a Coupe conversion.

      Could you re-check please in case it is a typo.

      Hi Bleasie,

      That’s definitely the correct VIN.

      I think you are correct as I’m struggling to find out who did the conversion.

      It’s been done extremely well and is a lovely car so I’m very happy but I’m intrigued by it’s history.
