Front wheel bearing renewal

How easy is it to replace the front wheel bearings on a 1986 3.6 XJ-SC. Can it be done with out a ramp?

  Have never had the privilege of a ramp only a pit, If you think about it the ramp would only lift it to a better working height,
  Your front wheels would still need removing so the car would still need supporting just the same as if it was on the floor.
  So yes it can be done without a ramp. It’s a pity you can’t add photos, You never know it may come with time Rome was not built in a day. Wow the edits working now,
