I’m already a member of the JEC and JDC and came across the soft top club as a result of the forthcoming JEC XJS tour of the JLR classic works set up – can’t wait to see it!

My interest in Jaguar goes back to the early 1970s when I bought and sold saloons for £50 or thereabouts! I retired a couple of years ago and decided to re-acquaint myself with the marque via a late model XJS convertible (costing rather more than £50!). In unusual Jade Green with Parchment interior and fawn hood it always brings a broad smile to my face when driving – and with the top down you do get to hear some interesting comments from the pavement, don’t you!

I’m looking forward to meeting up with other members and supporting Soft Top events – but disappointed to hear that the Belgium trip has been cancelled. I’m up for a late summer long weekend in France if anyone else wants to join me in saying farewell to the EU!
