Hello chaps. Escaped Brit Geoff Connor here. I own a business in Johannesburg, South Africa, called Jeff’s Jags where we service, repair, restore and sell Jaguars ONLY of all vintages. We recently had a customer bring in his 1982’ish XJS-C with Targa top for us to fix up and ultimately sell for him. Super condition all round, but needs some TLC as been standing for ages. My problem is I’ve never seen one before! Can anyone assist with (a) a workshop manual (obviously soft copy better), (b) advice on exactly how one opens the Targa roof, and (c) any hints as to what these cars are worth? Thanks in advance for any assistance! geoffconnor@rocketmail.com or +27729346966.

          Hi @geoffconnor

The Targa roof is in two sections, one over the drive and one over the passenger. There is a leaver on each targa panel, which you pull down and turn (this unlocks the targa panel). You need to remove the targa panels in the right order, as one overlaps the other.
