North West meet up – Sunday 13th August – Cafe Cargo, Colne

Hi All,

Planning a meet up on Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th August – Possible venue is at Martin Mere Wetlands Centre or Cafe Cargo.

For something different I thought we’d explore option of Martin Mere, however the entrance price to the Wetlands Centre is circa £12 per adult

I’m making enquiries as to whether we’d have access to the Cafe, even for those that didnt’ want to commit to going round the Wetlands Centre. Depending on their response the meet up may move to the Cafe Cargo again (which folk enjoyed earlier this month).

Thoughts and feed back from members will help shape this meet up event

  Venue will be Café Cargo on Sunday 13th August at 11:00
  
  Unfortunately at this time Martin Mere Wetlands Centre are unable to allow access to their Café without everyone paying nearly £12 entrance fee. At some time in the future they intend to allow access, so hopefully we’ll be able to do a Meet Up there.

  Hopefully the weather will be kind again on this date and I’ll be ignoring the Sat Nav, instead relying on my old map reading skills to get there on time 🙂

  We had 3 XJ-SC Cabriolets and 1 XJS Convertible in attendance at today’s meet up. All three Cabriolets were 3.6 Manuals, and all had quad lights and the same leaper arranged over the growler.
  
  Also we had an XJS Coupe and an XJS Lynx Eventer, an E-Type, an XK8 Coupe, an XKR Convertible from the Greater Manchester JEC, and a Mini Pickup came along too

  It was a glorious day Jon, great company and a good line up of cars. Yours would have looked great alongside. Next May will rectify matters ?
