Hello,
Welcome to our Club’s March update. Our Club website has now properly settled after the revamp, and it’s starting to come alive — which is exactly what we all hoped for.
This month I’d really like to encourage everyone to get involved — whether that’s attending an event, adding something to your album, contributing an article, or simply replying to say hello. We can all get so much more out of the Club, just by putting a little bit in to it every once in a while, to make it a living breathing Club that can be there for when members need it.

Club 10th Anniversary — Avro Heritage Museum (23rd August 2026)
Our 10th Anniversary year is properly underway, and we have a dedicated display area reserved at the Avro Heritage Museum event on 23rd August 2026.
We currently have 6 members signed on, but our allocated spaces are limited and I’d very much like to see a strong XJS Soft Tops Club turnout.

Entry is just£10 per car which goes to the Avro Heritage Muesuem, and payment can be made here:

I’m personally really looking forward to this one — it will be a proper milestone for the Club.
If you’re planning to attend, please let me know as soon as possible, so I can keep hold of all our allocated places.

Events, Attendance & Our New Calendar
All Members can now add their own events to the website — whether that’s a local meet, a show you’re attending, or something you think others nearby might enjoy.
We also now have the ability to register your interest or attendance directly on event pages, and there’s a new Calendar view giving a quick at-a-glance look at what’s happening across the year.
Even marking yourself as “interested” helps others see momentum building.
The more visible activity we create, the stronger the Club feels.

Forum Activity & Member Articles
The Club’sforum is waking up nicely, from its months of slumber — members have been pulling up older topics and sparking fresh responses.
It’s great to see proper conversations starting again.
For those contemplating creating themselves a Member’s Car Album, to share details of their car (or cars) with others, there’s now a full “How to Create a Car Album” guide available here:
View the Album Guide
And on that note — I would absolutely love to receive more member-written articles.
A few paragraphs and some photos are all that’s needed, and I’ll happily format and publish them for the Club.

A Personal Update — Back in Metallic Red
I’ve just had my XJS 4.0 Convertible resprayed back to its original metallic red,
and I’ve already managed to take a few drives around North Wales (between rain storms) since getting it back last week.
In about five weeks’ time I’m hoping to have a new convertible roof fitted, as the old one has got threadbare and does not complement the new paint job at all —
just in time to make the most of the summer.

I’ll be updating my Album shortly with more photos of the respray and roof progress.

Member-Commissioned Parts Update
I’ve now sold three quarters of the remanufactured XJ-SC Cabriolet Targa Roof seals, with just a handful left.
If you’re considering one, please get in touch soon —
they are £110 plus postage and once they’re gone, that’s it.
I mentioned previously that I was considering once again to get rear side window rubbers remanufactured for the XJ-SC Cabriolet, and have received several firm expressions of interest (thank you). However, there is a minimum production run and I do need more members to place their orders, otherwise I won’t be able to proceed with this.
(£445 per pair plus postage and packaging)
If you’re interested in either, just reply to this email.
On that note, I’ll close this month’s Newsletter by wishing you all well and safe travels out and aboout in your XJS Soft Tops.
Cheers,
Laurence
