Hi Laurence,
Do you have or know somebody who has the cabriolet softop metal frame in good condition?
Mine has a lot of rust on the metal part and I a do not think I will be able to restore it.
I am also intersted in the following parts:
Rear left wheel arch
Rear tonneau left and right (situated under the chrome bumper)Thank you,
Claudiu -

Hi Claudiu @kadudu
Cabriolet’s hood’s metal frame – do you mean the heavy metal bar that has the locking knob and catches, or the chrome assembly that is either side of the hood that controls how the hood folds down ?

Hello Claudiu @kadudu
The rear tonneau panels (pre facelift) are available from your Jaguar Dealer/Heritage web site currently or David Manners who I use even – part no’s. RTC1646 & RTC1645 – replacements are now actually BHC1374 & BHC1375 almost identical but no oval bumper bolt holes precut (not sure why) – just have to cut.
I would suggest you buy whilst available £173 +vat each seems a lot but there is no option with poor secondhand ones often £100 as are small hand made replacement bottom sections on eBay.These were out of stock for several years but can be bought now but who knows for how long.
Even I gladly paid the price having tried to source via eBay or anywhere possible for several years – suddenly back in stock so grab them while you can.Near side wheel arch repair sections no longer available anywhere – again rare on ebay even – but ’Dodford’ in Northampton on eBay can make good replacement sections at a market price, check out the XJS sections he sells..
Regards, Robin

Hello Laurence, I need the chrome assembly. The metal bar seems ok, but the chrome assembly is extremely rusted and beyound recondition, unfortunatelly. The car was parked outside under the clear sky for 10 years and water literally went through every little hole transforming the car in a little pool every rain.
Cheers,
Claudiu -

Hi Laurence
They seem like mine. The next days I am going to pay a visit at the mechanic to check.
How much do you want for them?
