AJ6 engine idle

I am looking for a detailed procedure to set the idle for AJ6 1986 engine, starting with throttle butterfly gap, tps check, etc, etc. Actual idle is 1500 rpm with engine cold and 750 when warm. When cold petrol smell inside car during first 15‘ drive (running rich?). When warm hesitation when accelerating from below 1500 rpm. Recent MOT with CO at 1,5. ECU is checked with AJ6 Engineering. Hope someone may help!

  Goodevening Sir, could you solve the problem you discribe above? I seem to have the same prob, and no garage can find the prob, mine is also a 1986 (manual) stored for 5 years now. Kind regards Gerard

  Hi, Hesitation when accelerating from below 1500 rpm is solved after replacing the TPS (throttle position sensor). However original TPS is no more available. Alternative TPS solutions are presented in a Jag Forum, but are tricky to adapt. BR Gerry
