Back on the road again – at last

Got my Cabriolet back from its long stay at the garage last night – and drove it 30 miles to and 30 miles home from work today.

While it’s been gone it’s had a replacement fuel tank, and now no longer stinks of petrol – I’ll write an article up on that topic.

It’s also had a replacement ECU, after frying the last one. It appears that there was a short on the starter motor, which caused the car voltage to drop, which in turn caused the Alternator to put out more power and result was a fried ECU.

      Hi Laurence,
Forgive me if you have already discussed this elsewhere (point me to where?) but I’d like to know more about what you did with your targa tops. They are now finished in body colour?
Hope you’re enjoying its return to the road.

      Hi Alex,

You’ve not missed it – I’ve been away this weekend and not had a chance to sit down in front of the computer, but hopefully in the next couple of days I will have time and write this up as an article. I’ve plenty of photos to include.

      Laurence
