Hello,
First of all, apologies that April’s newsletter never appeared. One thing led to another, time disappeared rather faster than expected, and suddenly we found ourselves well into May.
This month I thought I’d make the newsletter a little more conversational. Our Club’s website developement work continues, but what really brings a Club to life is members using it — posting in the forum, adding photos, sharing car updates, or simply replying to say hello.
Forum activity has started to increase recently, which is great to see. What we still haven’t had, though, is any new Car Albums or Gallery photos added for a while. So if you’ve been meaning to share your car, a repair, a trip, or even just a quick photo, this is your gentle nudge.

My XJS Is Finally Back…
After what felt like a very long wait, I finally got my XJS Convertible back from the paint shop. The car has also now had a brand new roof fitted, and I’m genuinely delighted with how it has turned out.

Naturally, because my Jaguars like to maintain a sense of humour, shortly afterwards the fuel pump failed and the car ended up on the back of a recovery transporter 🙁

Classic Jaguar ownership in two photos 🙂

Welcome To Our New Members
We’ve also had a number of new members join the Club recently, so a warm welcome to Budi, Paul, Amar, Eivind, Aleksandrs, Dalen, Rick, Keith, Joel, Gary, Simon and Roberto.
Please do introduce yourselves on the forum when you get chance — and if you own an XJS Convertible or XJ-SC, we’d genuinely love to see photos of your cars.

Final Thought
The Club website is now at a stage where it has become much more than a static information site. What will make the biggest difference from this point onwards is member participation.
A photo, a short story, a question, a technical tip, a memory, a trip out, a repair disaster or a success story — all of it matters.
So if you’ve been quietly reading along thinking “I should probably post something one day”… this is your encouragement to do exactly that.
Cheers,
Laurence
