Hidden Numbers

Have you discovered on your XJ-SC Cabriolet a mysterious number, and wondered what it is or was used for. hidden away in the rain gutter of the car’s boot or trunk – left hand side of the car forward of the rear lights ?

Certainly most Jaguar build XJS (XJ-SC) Cabriolets have this number. Indeed many Cabriolet owners, when asked about the number of their car, reply their car hasn’t got one – only to come back a few days later saying they’ve found it (isn’t curiosity a great thing).
