Well since fitting the Lady Diana rear hard top, which transformed the car as I can now clearly see what’s behind me (!) and Sue doesn’t moan any more about drafts I’ve been enjoying the great weather with the Targas off. She’s been to a number of events in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire plus general runs out.
In answer to Laurence’s plea for brief news of XJS’s this summer, in our Club's July Newsletter, here’s my comments.
This is my Jaguar XJ-SC - B58 LNU

Improvements but need some help
I have fitted led bulbs to the instruments meaning I can now see what’s been shown clearly, a well worthwhile exercise. I still have problems getting her to idle over 600rpm and I still need to fit the new gearbox remote control rubbers so changing gear is once again as smooth as intended.
I've a Forum Post asking for technical feedback on this if you are able to help

We took her down to the excellent 70 year anniversary of the JDC (Jaguar Driver's Club) weekend at Brooklands and I happy to say she performed perfectly over the long weekend. I was fortunate enough to have a run up the hill in NUB 120 the Ian Appleyard XK120.
