Finding my granddad’s car

Hi,

I am wondering if this forum might be able to help me in my quest to buy back my Granddad’s car. I remember him driving me in it once, given it was an XJ-SC with a bench in the back I know that it must have been just us in the car, which was unusual and makes the car very special. More importantly he is where my love of engines comes from, he loved lorries, cars, and tractors, everyone else in my family likes sails and I often feel like the black sheep so I’d have loved to know him better. He also drove my parents away from their wedding in that car, there is a wonderful photo of them sitting on back with him in the front.

It is registration number C62 MEV, and it has been SORN’d since 2021 so I am worried that it might be rotting somewhere.

I have looked through all of the XJS photo albums looking for it to try and find the current owner without success. Does anyone have any tips of suggestions on how I could go about trying to find the current owner?
