I found car in Heath Texas. It was a one owner with 58,000 miles. It was love at first sight.
I was serving in the United States Marines in Vietnam in 1969. I was sending 90% of my money home to purchase a new XKE when I got back home. Long sad story short, the money was stolen by my fiancée's father. Instead of buying a new XKE Roadster, I ended up with a $600 Chevrolet. Life then got in the way, and I never laid hands on an XKE. 53 years later I ran into this XJS. I could not be happier with it. The original owner was a smoker (a few small burn marks in the carpet) and his wife liked to hit parking curbs with the front valance and acquired a few small door dings while parking at the shopping mall. I wanted a driver not a garage queen, so this was the perfect car for me. The car has zero rust. The 4.0-liter engine is smooth as silk. I enjoy taking 100+ mile weekend drives with the top down, it soothes the soul.
