This is an annual XJS Soft-tops Club meet up at the Lakes Classic Car Show in Staveley – a nice follow up to Brunch at Café Cargo the day before (Saturday 20th June)
The show is organised by the Windermere and Ambleside Lions Club, as a charity fund raising event. A number of members attended this in previous years (pre-Covid), along with members of the Greater Manchester Region of the JEC (Jaguar Enthusiasts Club).

We regret to communicate that the Windermere & Ambleside Lions Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Classic Vehicle Show in Staveley, and postpone the event to 2027.
We have been notified that United Utilities will be carrying out essential maintenance works to improve the main sewer network in the village and on the Staveley Recreation Ground during the planned event period this year. Unfortunately, this means we cannot guarantee the usual standard, safety, and experience of the show.

The event is scheduled for Sunday 21th June 2026 on the Recreation Ground in Staveley, Cumbria, which is a week later than previous years. You can bring along the whole family to have a fun-packed day out. By booking in advance the cost is £7 for a car and two people (suggested minimum donation), which includes having your name/vehicle appearing in the Show’s programme.
Entrance on the day is £10 and does not guarantee that you’ll be able to display your car with the other Classic Vehicles.
