From UK to USA to UK and now France

A need to protect the leather seats I decided to make a cover for when my dog travels with us.
Cut from plywood I edged it with foam pipe insulation and covered in a heavy-duty material.
Likewise I used the same material on the central armrest, as she like to lay forward.

As the car is laid up during the winter I decided a battery conditioner was a good idea to keep the battery in tip-top condition. I also wanted to isolate the battery for safety, rather than having to remove the reat cover I designed this set up which allows isolation and a simple plug in lead to the battery for the conditioner unit

One of the things I missed on a long journey was a satnav, so I thought to replace the Jaguar radio system. Not as easy as I originally thought, as seldom did the wires match up, but finally all came together.

The XJS is a long car so I decided a reversing camera could be a good idea especially as my poor old neck muscles strain on an owl like turn !
The easy answer was a cheap wifi system. The camera was placed just below the boot lock and wired into the reversing light power so it only activated when reverse gear was engaged.
The VDU I wired to a power supply under the central console shared with the cigarette lighter but controlled by an on/off switch that I installed on the left hand side in the console.
