Mice and other invaders

Started 6th January 2026 at 20:35 · Laurence Jones

I know I’m not the first to suffer from having their classic car attacked by mice and other invaders, but its the first time it’s happened to me.

Fortunately they’ve not done too much damage that I can see, though it will require some fixing.

They’ve chewed through the ignition leads, though the car still runs – I won’t be putting my hands anywhere near the bare leads any time soon though 🙂

The most annoying bit is that they’ve chewed the rubber pipe that goes from the brake reservoir to the master cylinder, so I’ll have to bleed the brakes once I’ve fixed that.

Has anyone any experience (good or bad) of placing an electronic rodent deterrent in the car, either inside or out ?
