Nice job on your Starfish Alloys David, 6 hours per wheel is good time well spent:-)
Thanks Alan I think I’ll got the new filler cap when it gets a bit warmer outside as it won’t be a quick job I imagine

Good point Laurence, it’s a tricky one especially as my present cap is in quite good condition and not really at the stage of looking shabby etc. Decisions decisions…….
Hopefully the journey has gone well for you
Michael Hampton Here you are (parts catalogue)
Photos of the rod, official word is guide assembly (24 or 25 depending if your car is the 5.3 or 3.6) but I suspect the part is exactly the same either way. Jaguar part number C38916 or DAC2882 as shown. But check if Laurence if you need this part in case he has oneMorning Michael Hampton
I suspect at some point in the past the standard steering wheel had been replaced with something like a Nardi or similar wheel and the metal rod in the column that gives the horn push its connection removed. Upon refitting the standard steering wheel this rod was not reinstalled. Hence no horn!
As it happens I’ll be working on my own car today/tomorrow replacing my steering wheel so I’ll add a photo of the rod etc I’m referring to. I don’t have a spare unfortunately but maybe Laurence does from the Cabby he is breaking.
Regarding your Targa panels, I might be able to help you there also. I’ll get back to you on that. I know someone who is breaking a car. I’ll have a word
eBay uk item number 282581291397 any good ?

Cheers Bob, my seats have been given a deep clean and I’ll be using this product (scratch Doctor) as the reviews and recommendations for this have been excellent
No round Bonnet badge, just the leaping Jaguar. Must narrow things down a bit as to whose car it is
Bleasie might have some info on the car in question, come on John, any more ideas on that registration number?
