        Welcome Alister

Thank you for joining as a Cabriolet Member of the XJS Soft Tops Club, I hope you find your membership interesting – feel free to participate in any past or future discussion topics.

You have two Membership Photo Albums, these can be found via the Main Menu ==> My Account ==> My Photos. It would be great if you could add a photo or two of your Cabriolet for all members to see.

Please reply to this topic and tell us how you discovered our Club and a little about your own XJ-SC Cabriolet and your general enthusiasm and interest the XJS Soft Top models.

        Hello Laurence,

        Thanks for the welcome.

I have always enjoyed driving soft tops and have previously owned a 1973 Triumph Stag, 1977 Mercedes 450SL and a 1979 MGB.  I had the pleasure of having a test drive in a Jaguar XJ-SC about 3 years.  Unfortunately the owner took it off the market and I missed out on that one.  But it did spark an interest!  I have been keeping an eye on sales here in Australia and following your site along with a couple of others just to give me a bit more of an insight into the XJS.  I recently found what I was after, a very well maintained 1987 XJ-SC with a 5 speed manual conversion.  I haven’t had it for long but so far have found it to be a superb vehicle to drive.

I have been lurking in the background watching various discussions/threads maybe now I will have the opportunity to contribute.
