              Hi Roger,

I doubt if you will find a no rust free unless it has been restored and you will be looking at a lot more than that.
All I can suggest is that you search and if you find one let me have the Vin then I can check it out to see if it has a history.
              Regards
              BLEASIE

This is what we have on it.
Found For Sale again by Bryan on April 10, 2015 on the carandclassic.co.uk website. Now asking UKL 7,000 with 105,000 miles. Seems to still be with the same Owner Tim Palmer as location is still South East London and since the photos in the current listing are the same as we have on file. Listing says “XJ-SC, 3.6, Cabriolet, 1987 E reg. ,Beautiful and rare car, automatic, in very good condition, 105K miles. ,Arctic blue, Grey leather, rear seat conversion, lattice alloy wheels. Very solid body, fully waxoyled, restoration in 2008 by Clarke’s Jaguar, drives superbly. FSH since 2008. New radiator & water pump. Central locking & Thatcham cat 1 alarm. MOT March 2016. South East London”. Previously found For Sale by Bryan on January 31, 2014 on the carandclassic.co.uk website. Asking UKL 7,500 with 103,000 miles. Seems to still be with the same Owner Tim Palmer, since the photos in the current listing are the same as we have on file. New listing says current location is Greenwich. Listing says “XJ-SC, 3.6 Cabriolet, 1987, E Reg. Beautiful and rare car, automatic, in very good condition, 103K miles. Arctic Blue, Grey Leather, rear seat conversion, lattice alloy wheels. Very solid body, fully waxoyled, restoration in 2008 by Clarke’s Jaguar, drives superbly. FSH since 2008. Central locking & Thatcham Cat 1 alarm. Hood cover included. MOT 12/2013. Tax to 2/14”. Owner had previously emailed Bryan on June 19, 2012 to say he was listing the car For Sale. He is asking UKL 7,500. Has a rear seat conversion. Listing says “Jaguar XJ-SC, 3.6 Cabriolet, 1987 “E” Reg. Beautiful and rare car, automatic, in very good condition, 102,000 miles. Arctic Blue, Saville Grey leather, rear seat conversion, lattice alloy wheels. Very solid body, fully waxoyled, bodywork restoration in 2008 by Clarke’s Jaguar, drives superbly. FSH since 2008. Central locking & Thatcham cat 1 alarm. Hood cover & XJS car cover included. Tax August 2012; MOT September 2012. Location is South East London”. He also said The body and mechanics I would characterise as very good, likewise the interior, although the fabric on the inside of the roof needs a little
work. It certainly has been incredibly reliable. However, I am no mechanic, and so whilst it has been very well looked after by my local specialist garage and Clarke’s since I bought it, I am not someone who can spot any problems on it very easily! I am afraid that a classic car doesn’t sit very easily with my status as a new father, and so I hardly drive it anymore. It is time for someone else to enjoy it. Current Owner, Tim Palmer, contacted Bryan on June 09, 2012 to say he would attend the show at Weston Park. He said “Dear Bryan, Just letting you know that I am bringing my 1987 3.6 auto (Arctic Blue) XJS-C, Reg E 86 DPM to Weston Park on June 24. It would be good to show it with other cabriolets, although I will also be putting it in the sellers’ enclosure. Do let me know of any requests to coordinate a celebration. Kind regards, Tim”. This car was known to be taxed and licensed but we had no other details or photos until he made contact with Bryan.
