Wanted- front parking light bulb failure unit DAC1908

        Hi,

        This failure unit is positioned near the auxiliary fuses behind a panel in the passenger footwell.

              Hi,

              Not sure how they can be repaired as they look to be sealed,  maybe they can be bypassed which will only take away the warning light facility.  Has anyone done this?

                Looked a bit deeper and found it was a 3 amp fuse.  Whilst at it I have cleaned up all the the connections on the fuses/fuse holder, lighting relay and all other relays.

                  bypass is possible,but you will have to remove the dash light,as it will keep burning.

                  you an pry open the unit and replace the resitor wire,which is probably burned through.

                    would be most helpfull if one of the members with electronic skills could provide an alternative to this obsolete unit ?,?

                      I found a Company in the Netherlands that could supply one for €10 + €19 postage but the only way he would accept payment was by bank transfer so I declined doing this.

                            it would be nice if one of the members,could suggest an easy alternative..

                            it is no rocket science.unfortunately i have no clue of electronics…….
