Hi Laurence.

Yes I got a few sheets of veneer rather than just one in case my first attempts don’t go to plan .

I’ll likely use a very thin layer of clear tiger seal to bond it to the metal panel, can’t see that going anywhere thereafter, that stuff is awesome.

To be honest I did try to re laquer an area where the veneer was good but the original laquer is very thick and i reckon it would take quite a few applications to get it back to original, even then it might not look right. If your veneer is all intact the best solution would be to completely remove the existing laquer and then re-apply, that way you don’t risk all the effort potentially going to waste.

If all goes well with mine I’ll have some veneer left over surplus to requirements you are welcome to
